ENTP: choose one idea to test from ten possibilities

The ENTP collection · Passion Psycho · Lire en français
Two adults compare imaginative paper prototypes.

A collection of ideas does not automatically tell you which deserves your next working session. Choose according to what you need to learn, rather than novelty or current enthusiasm alone.

Compare the important unknowns

For each idea, identify the question that determines its next step. A workshop may depend on audience interest; a new study-sheet format on readability. Some unknowns require extensive work, others a small trial. Choose an accessible question whose answer would create real progress, even if it leads you to drop the idea.

Limit the first commitment

A test need not resemble the finished project. Three readable examples may be enough to get feedback on a format. State the time available and what you will show. Otherwise, the prototype may become another competing project without clearly answering the original question.

Decide after the feedback

Write what you want to observe before asking for an opinion. Replace “Do you like it?” with questions about where someone understands, hesitates or stops. Use those observations to continue, change or shelve the idea. This is a possible working method, not a promise associated with ENTP.

Try it in practice

Compare three ideas by their main question, cost of a trial and usefulness of the answer. Choose one test for this week. Afterwards, write four lines: expectation, observation, surprise and next decision. Keep the other ideas in a dated list.
