ENTP: move from Ne possibilities to Ti precision

The ENTP collection · Passion Psycho · Lire en français
Two adults compare imaginative paper prototypes.

Finding another perspective can open a discussion. The next step is to explain what the idea accounts for and how to check it. The Ne–Ti pairing connects exploring possibilities with examining them more closely.

Explore, then clarify

In type dynamics, ENTP combines dominant Extraverted Intuition, Ne, with auxiliary Introverted Thinking, Ti. Ne concerns possibilities; Ti concerns internal coherence. This model does not measure creativity or intelligence. It offers a vocabulary for observing the move from an appealing idea to an understandable proposal.

The brilliant-solution scenario

Your group wants a livelier presentation. You suggest a debate, a role-play and then a simulation. Each appears to address monotony but brings different constraints. Before adding a fourth option, define the exact problem: too few examples, limited audience participation or no clear thread. Novelty is relevant only if it addresses the need.

Test a possibility against its limits

Choose one idea and ask what must be true for it to work. Check time, materials and clarity of instructions. Look for a case where it would fail too. This does not eliminate imagination; it turns a broad possibility into a proposal whose consequences others can discuss.

Try it in practice

For three recent ideas, record the need addressed and the main assumption. Choose the one with an assumption you can easily test. Run a short trial with someone and ask what they understood before developing another variation.

To explore another use of the same dominant process: ENFP: bring Ne and Fi together to choose a direction.
