Seeing what a group could achieve can make you want to help it progress. But an encouraging direction still needs to match the wishes of those involved. Fe–Ni offers a way to examine the difference between support and projection.
Present relationships and future direction
In type dynamics, ENFJ combines dominant Extraverted Feeling, Fe, with auxiliary Introverted Intuition, Ni. Fe concerns values and relationships in a shared context; Ni seeks an overall direction. This MBTI vocabulary does not establish an ability to know other people’s needs or an obligatory calling to guide them.
When encouragement already contains a plan
You suggest that a classmate present the group’s work because you see their ability. They hesitate. Rather than insisting on their potential, ask about time, interest and competing priorities. Find out what they want to develop and which role they prefer before turning your appreciation into a project for them.
Build a direction that can be discussed
Present your idea as a possibility and let people change its conditions. A shared objective does not require identical motivations: participants may contribute for different reasons. What matters is explicit agreement about responsibilities. A collective vision becomes stronger when disagreement is not mistaken for lack of commitment.

Try it in practice
Consider encouragement you often give. Turn it into a question about the person’s wishes, followed by an optional suggestion. In your next exchange, listen without immediately preparing an argument to persuade. Look for support that matches the request actually expressed.
